A traditional Chinese garden is very ornamental in design, from the flowering plants and trees, to the formal pavilions and bridges. The actual garden design can be adapted to a much smaller scale that will fit into the backyard or front yard, and still include buildings similar to the pavilions found in the famous Chinese garden cities of Zhangzhou, Shuzhou, and Hangzhou.
Herb on his web page is one of the simplest forms of growing plants. I love to do this because I have fresh basil, parsley and unusual varieties of basil and lettuce for our salads and to jazz up boring recipes, our usual standbys that could do with a change or two - like fresh herbs. We like mint, too, especially in lemonade or to create a homemade mint sauce for lamb. However, mint plants a reputation for being (gulp)....invasive. Do they ever!

It is possible to have a bonsai garden in your lawn. These types of gardens are mostly used in Japan. You will require pots in which bonsai plants are placed for normal growth.
You do not have to tire yourself from all those jobs. You can instead use landscaping stones garden ideas to give depth to your yard without hassle. Stones can give accent to some parts of your lawn and you can even choose the color that you want.
